What happens if my inverter fails?
I'm winding up to getting a Sunsynk inverter & battery installed here in the UK. In spite of the fact that grid outages are rare here, it still makes sense to me to split essential and non-essential loads. If the grid goes down, essential loads will continue to work from the battery. However, if the grid is normal and the inverter fails, what happens to the essential loads? If the inverter is dead, will it still pass power to essential loads? If not, I'd have working non-essential loads and failed essential loads, which is odd, to say the least.

As far as I know, it’s not a requirement from a regulations perspective and this would vary from country to country. To me, it makes sense to include this in an installation
