No Frequency when Generator connected to Grid supply
Already had a Gernerator before PV Installation which starts automatically when Grid lost via a changeover contactor so as not to parrellel with grid, and this then feeds the Inverters as if it is the grid. It works OK but the frequency reading value remains at zero, volts ok generator and meter plugged into sockets connected at the generator show 50 Hz.
Why does it remain at zero, it comes back when grid returns?

Got my generator to finally work. Had to replace it with an inverter type. New one is 6kw and the old one was 10kw. I just use peak shaving at 4kw. And works now
