Dont Charge battery with Solar PV
I have a 5kWh Sunsynk inverter with 2 x 5.12kWh Sunsynk batteries.
Is there a way to stop the batteries from being charged using Solar PV.
The current System Mode through Sunsynk Connect App is set to:
Limited To Home ☑️
Solar Export ☑️
In the Use Timer, I've tried change the battery SOC to different percentages hoping it wont charge using PV but it doesn't seem to matter. It only affects discharge.
I know this sounds counterintuitive to not charge batteries using PV but it works out for me to charge at cheaper rates at night, and use excess solar to export during the day. Battery will kick in as usual when load is higher than PV and during the night
Thanks

Huzaifah - I’m doing the same thing, I charge batteries at night on cheap tariff, then set up to export as much PV as possible to grid. I haven’t found a setting that does this directly. What I do is:
1) set limit to home
2) set solar export
3) in the battery settings section of the inverter set the charge amps down to 5 (this will reduce how much PV is being used to charge battery, the rest will go to export)
4) remember to turn this back up to the original value, when you really want to charge the battery
I have automated above steps using the API, but you can do manually in the app
