What is UPS please, it's appeared in the last few weeks, I've not changed anything?

I have one output from the inverter, it goes to the consumer unit. Up to the last time I checked, this "UPS" thing did not exist. I've changed nothing, not changed any settings and to my knowledge the firmware has not been updated.
I do have a MyEnergi Eddi attached to the immersion, but that bears no relation to the figures this UPS is using, so its not that, and anyway, that's not new, its been there since the inverter was installed.
No split in the consumer unit.
There is no "primary load and non-essential load" just one load, the house. I don't even have a battery, I certainly don't have a UPS.
