using Sunsynk inverter as battery charger with separate solar inveter
I have an existing SunnyBoy inverter connected to grid. I have added a sunsynk inverter and 7kW Lithium battery. The solar panels are all connected to the SunnyBoy. I want the Sunsynk to charge the battery when there is excess power from the SunnyBoy but it just exports any excess electricity. The Sunsynk is controlled via the app and I'm on the Octopus Agile tariff. I cant find the appropriate system mode settings to charge battery with any excess power. Can anyone help please?

I failed to get the system to work with a separate inverter. I have now cabled the solar panels to the new Sunsynk inverter and it works fine. I think there is a bug either in the inverter software or possibly in the Sunsynk app.
On a separate note: I contacted Sunsynk support who were extremely unhelpful. Because I installed the inverter myself they kept saying it must be a cabling proiblem and I had to get a sunsynk approved installer to check my system (at £150 per hour). This is nonsense, I am more than capable of installing an inverter. the fact that it all works by moving the solar panels shows that the problem is Sunsynk's not mine!
