3.6kW Hybrid Inverter - Hot Water Auxiliary Port - Is an iboost or Eddi Needed?

Good Afternoon, I have just recently had a 5.2 kwp system fitted with a sunsynk 3.6 kw inverter and 5.32 kwh battery fitted. I believe my interver is the hybrid version not the ecco version - I am still not sure what the difference between the two models is. I read on the website a comment that suggested I may be able to divert solar excess to my hot water tank in the below article. https://www.sunsynk.org/ourinverters I was curious to know if this is possible with the inverter alone? Is it possible to heat an immersion heater without a separate solar diverter like an iboost+ or an Eddi? I have been investigating installing a diverter in the next few months - if the inverter is capable without a separate diverter that would be useful to know. Has anyone had success with this? Sorry about all the questions, I am still new to solar and to sunsynk. Lloyd

Thanks to all of you, for the explanations. Given I am still learning I will consider all of that. Perhaps an Eddi or Iboost+ may have a place after all.

Regardless it is good to know the function and capability of the inverter as who knows when that might be useful in future.
