Solar Assistant via RS485 port read/write enabled on rs485?

Hi, I have an SG04 LP1 inverter, it was an SG01 LP1 originally but ive done the firmware upgrade to bring it up to SG04, my question is this, I want to run Solar asistant on a rasberry Pi 3 LTE Orange, I need to know if the spare RS485 port inside the inverter can be used with solar assistant to connect to the PI and to be able to change settings on the inverter via the solar assistant web page, after contacting solar assistant tech support they say it does work with there software but they cant say if changing settings will work over the RS485 port, can anyone confirm if it works as being able to change settings over or is that access limited to only the dongle rs232 port. So is the RS485 port both way access or read only please? very grateful if anyone can confirm that runs solar assistant with the 3.6 ecco hybrid I have, b4 I buy the Pi?

Learning the settings has been a real pain. I personally think what's needed is for Sunsynk to provide the many possible inverter operating scenarios along with the settings needed to achieve them as worked examples.

I got SA for the same reason, data analysis, however one of its shortfalls seems to be its pretty poor export capabilities. You can backup all the saved data stored on the Pi in a single operation easily, but it is not possible, at least within my understanding and capabilities, to export all the data into a single database table.

These is a way to export the data from a single graph in CSV format (https://solar-assistant.io/help/historic-data/export) but it would be really tedious to have to do this chart by chart and combine the data into a useful database and then repeat the exercise for updating at a later date.

I found the Sunsynk Connect webpage gives an easier way of exporting the data (under the Operation Data section) on my pc as it lets you download all the data generated by the inverter in Excel format, but I haven’t been able to find out what data the column headings actually represent and as with SA, it’s only a small amount of data at a time.  If there is any other way to get the inverter data out I haven’t come across it yet.  Good luck!
