PV generation 1300W per MPTT

Hi,

I have 5kw Sunsynk with 10x550W AE panels installed. 5 on Mppt1 and 5 on Mppt2. The roof is positioned East-West so is 5 panels on East and 5 on West side.

I am in East London, South Africa and the maximum I can get on Mppt is 1300W . Total of 2600W in pick sun hours. And between 10-12kwh produced per day. There is no shading on my roof. Is this normal to be like that in sunny days in winter season in South Africa?

Thanks

As it turns out I have an installation that is an East/West using 20*340W=6800W panels (10*E - 3400W and 10*W - 3400W on a 28 degree angle/pitch), lattitude of -35 which is Canberra Australia. If I use this output and assume that I only have the same capacity as you do (10*550W=5500W) then based on my production I have on a very good day (mid summer) of 5180W this would equate to 4450kW and then taking into account the lattitude for London of 51, the output would be be about 20% less (using the calculator jacekowski recommended) meaning that you might expect 3.55kW on a really good day. So the maximum per string would be approximately 1700W. As I said, depending on the angle/pitch of the 2 strings, the fact that you are getting 1300W is probably right.

Welcome to the world of solar energy:-)
