Hernholdt's Group
I am trying to get to the bottom of a random charging issue with my batteries.
I suspect it is a firmware clash between two batteries installed with my initial install of the solar system and a third battery added 18 months later. Sunsynk chat say they are unable to tell me what the firmware status is of the batteries or what the latest firmware should be.
I'm in the UK and have never heard of Hernholdt's.
Who are they?
How do they fit in with the Sunsynk ecosystem?

Herholdt's are a large, and very reputable, South African electrical wholesaler. They used to be a Sunsynk importer/distributor for South Africa, but I believe they have parted ways with Sunsynk in January this year. I'm not sure what the reason was for this rift - hopefully someone from Sunsynk can respond and let us all know...
This is a bummer for me, as they doubled the standard Sunsynk inverter warranty if Sunsynk batteries were installed with the Sunsynk inverter, and now they apparently won't cover any repairs - resulting in a potential long distance (400km) transport to the (new?) Sunsynk agents in Johannesburg if my system ever needs repair 😥
