Disable wireless AP

Is it possible to disable the wireless AP on the data logger? If I login to the webpage, using the network IP assigned via DHCP, I can see on the status page for the device it has "Wireless AP mode Enable", which implies it could be disabled but if I go to the "Advanced -> Access Point" from the menu on the left I don't see anything obvious for disabling the AP...

Makes sense once you've setup, that it just needs to be a client, not an AP anymore. I assume they leave it in AP mode in case you need to change config with the setup app for some reason. Perhaps a workable solution is a button based factory reset would get it back to AP mode if reconfiguration was needed.

I also once thought about trying to secure this setup better, e.g. change default password (admin: admin is the first thing any cracking tool will try) and disabling the AP, but didn't find any option. Got as far as this Advanced config page.

I remember looking into this a bit when wanting to see if monitoring could be done via MQTT, and found a manual called "Stick Logger (WiFi): Model: LSW-3" and "HF-A11 Embedded WiFi Module User Manual".

There was no info in the LSW-3 manual about disabling AP mode... But it at least explains all the indicator lights well.

The HF-A11 manual, which might be similar to the chipset this stick uses, did show it had options to switch from AP to STA (station) mode, but the webUI for this stick doesn't seem to offer that.

Besides port 80, I found port 8899 and 48899 on the device open. The High-flying HF-A11 manual explains 8899 is a UDP port for some unconfirmed data ;logger protocol I assume. An nmap service version scan could not determine the protocol. But on the other port, you might be able to send AT/modem type commands: - 8899/TCP: Datalogger Info

- 48899/UDP: HF AT Interface That HF-A11 manual provides some AT commands you can use that go beyond the webUI config, but at I chickend out and decide this was a getting a bit too hacky to do something simple like disable the AP mode...

Via AT commands, other WiFi setup in STA mode should be possible. Rest of manual attached. If you try it an manage not to brick your data logger, let me know ;-)
