JK BMS RS485 Connection to Sunsynk 3.6kW Hybrid inverter

I don’t know if anyone has had experience of this or can lend some advice for me. I am having difficulty getting my JK BMS talking to my Sunsynk 3.6kW hybrid inverter over RS485. I’m not even sure if it’s possible. Firstly the pin connection information on the RJ45 connector within the inverter seems to differ between different sources of information online. I can see that there are tracks on the PCB which connect to pins 1 and 7, and that pins 3 and 6 are connected together on the RS485 BMS port. I’m using the RS485 adapter that came with the BMS, it just presents 3 wires, RS485A, RS485B and GND. The BMS is set to use RS485 as is the inverter, but not sure what protocol the inverter should be set to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
