Tripping RCBO
So we have certainly had some issues. Thanks to sunsynk for replacing the first faulty 3.6 inverter. Got the new one on the wall and connected. All good finally getting sensible readings. Slowly, slowly, so yesterday we reconnected the sunsynk battery and things went wrong. Quickly realised that the main RCBO (40amp) to the inverter would trip after a few minutes when we believed the battery circuit would come on for a charge.
No clamp meter to hand but certainly too much going to that RCBO. But why. when we originally wired it up we had forgotten that the batt needs an earth so as a quick solution we had fed this back to the inverter earth on the isolator. Disconnected then earth from the battery (temporary) and the tripping has stopped for the last 6 hrs. Sound like earth leakage from inverter and battery is just too much. Bit of a bugger as I know need to run the battery earth back to the fuse board or consumer unit. I guess we could bang an earth rod in.
Thought this might help someone.

and just to confirm, it is a Type A you are using???
