Hi Keith et al. A question prompted by insurance requirements here in South Africa has arisen.

Insurers are excluding cover unless a surge protection device is installed. So , the question is this: Does a sunsynk inverter act as s surge protection device to those loads supplied by the inverter? I ask as I am awre of the voltage controls present on the device and the control systems that switch to inverter mode when mains voltage exceeds the set paramaters. This may be a dumb question, but your response may be useful to your customers en mass.

I assume in this context that the earth spike is properly installed and connected. Thanks and kind regards, Jim
