Can you run a single phase generator on the generator input on a 12KW Three Phase SunSynk? If not is there a good way of converting it?

Can you run a single phase generator on the generator input on a 12KW Three Phase SunSynk? If not is there a good way of converting it?
No, i however had to replace my genie with a inverter type genie and its working now. Did not want to work with my standerd 10kw genie.
