Batteries not discharging

My system (3.6kWh Inv + 2x 5.12 batt) was installed 25 days ago and hasnt worked properly yet. The main issue is with the batteries not discharging. My installer has been chasing Sunsynk for a solution ever since the problem was identified, apparently the installer has other customers with the same problem. On Friday 23/12 i was promised a call from Sunsynk support to talk me through a firmware update that would fix the problem. I waited in all day, mid afternoon i called to find out when i was going to get this update. To my amazement I was told that all the technicians had gone home for xmas hols and that they would be back in touch 03/01/23 when they get back!!!

SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE SUNSYNK!!

Having seen all the Youtube videos (with Keith) I was really looking forward to the installation of this cutting new technology that was going to revolutionize my use of energy. All ive had so far is hype, frustration and disappointment.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO SUNSYNK TO PUT THIS RIGHT?

I have just had a SunSynk inverter and 2 x SunSynk 5.1kW batteries installed. Our batteries reached full charge (100% SOC) but no power was being drawn from them once the PV had stopped generating [we don't charge them front the Grid]. I found that the installer had incorrectly set the"Zero Export" - "Limit to Load only" check box which meant that power would never be consumed from the batteries as there's nothing actually connected to the "Load" port (UPS port) on the inverter. By removing this item the power became available from the the batteries straight away (i.e. on the Grid port) and we ran the whole house on battery power generation all of last night. (On the Inverter LCD screen go to the settings cog-wheel, System Mode, System 2 menu and the tick box is there under "Zero Export"). Worth checking and I hope this might resolve your issue.
