How can I defer battery use
I'm in the UK and have a Sunsynk Invertor and 2 battery packs with a 6kw solar array. Currently (over the winter) I charge the batteries during the off-peak and then deplete the charge through the day, as unsurprisingly I'm getting limited top up from solar. This normally means I'm back using the Grid from around 16.00 and then through to end of off-peak at 04.30.
Octopus are offering the option of load shedding, so how do I stop using the battery from say mid-day to 15.30, and across that time use either solar or grid and then revert to the batteries from 16.30 to take advantage of the scheme. Overall this will not cost any more and I should get a further credit from Octopus for reducing my grid consumption at the peak time.
Secondary question I've been advised by installer to retain c.20% power within the batteries, is this still appropriate as that means I only have 8kwh of useable battery storage, rather than the 10 I thought I had commissioned.

thanks for the advice ... will do changes.
