Info on alerts
Just had an alert on the inverter, went to look and one of the two batteries had no lights on and alerts showed a BMS error. Turned the battery on and the battery looked ok but inverter was still alarming. So I powered the inverter off and on and eventually it all came up and is ok. What I would like to know is what to look at to understand what happened and ultimately how to try and stop it in the future. Luckily I was at home and so able to deal with it.

These are the 'L' series batteries. If you have to restart the batteries, they need to be started in the desired order so that the first battery will powered on will become the master.
It would suggest that the battery that went off-line was the master. Therefore to get everything to communicate, restarting everything was the correct action.
The question is why did the battery turn itself off. This would have probably happened because the battery needed to protect itself from a fault which is one of the functions of the BMS.
If it happens again, I would get the battery looked at.
