Adding more solar panels

Dear Group

I have/had 8 x 545W JA Solar panels on my roof, facing east, and 8 x 545W JA solar panels facing west. These are on their own MPPTs.

I had 8 more of the same panels installed on the eastern side, i.e. now 16 panels east facing, and 8 panels west facing. The installer added the 8 new ones in parallel to the other 8 that are in series.

The connection between the 8 + 8 panels on the east side was done 'on the roof', not at the inverter, does this matter?

I do not see any increase in wattage / charge; this worries me as this was the purpose of the installation and the method, the suggestion of the installer. What is the reason for this, or am I just missing something?

Please see the typical graph of a fairly open-

sky winters day.

Inverter = Sunsynk 8kW

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Thx for the explanation, I'll hope for lots of sun to check it out.

I'll have the connection checked as well, and report back after that.

Regards
