Charging Amps for 8.8kw Inverter with 2 x 5.12kw batteries

I have 200amp hour of batteries and when charging I noted on the data sheet, that the recommended charging amps is 50amps, however is there a specific reason not to say using 80 or 100 amp for charging? Just seems wasteful to see electric flow to the grid when I have solar I could use for charging, especially here in the UK, when the sun shines can change in minutes, never mind hours!

I set Li-ion batteries to the 2-hour rate, which is generally also the max recommended on the battery supplier's data sheet. So for a 200Ah battery thats 100A. Note the BMS will often limit it to less than that, e,g, onHi / Lo temp or high state of charge.
