Stop dumping battery into the Electric vehicle

The MyEnergi EV charger will start charging the car (when on ECO or ECO+ setting) when exporting over 1.4kWp. However, once it starts the inverter will see it as a standard load and dump the home battery into the EV. This is not ideal.

Is there why to stop this happening as the EV charger definitely can't?

Just want to say thanks for circling back on this Rob, appreciate some real feedback from someone with the same setup as I have. I read that MyEnergi thread about bringing the solar into the house consumer many times, and couldn't get my head around why it wasn't solved with the export threshold - you have just answered it. That was essentially moving the point of export in the system too.

Waiting for the car now to work out how to get the best of the system given that not all my puzzle pieces are here yet. I've got a 5.5Ecco but have 6.48KwP of panels so it will still charge the batteries anyway even if i can push power out before 100% (or the 90/95 percent thresholds where charge rate drops).

I am probably going to with i had an 8KW Ecco at this rate given the "5.5KW" only puts out 5KW and I regularly see 5.2KW when trying to balance the house load and use the solar whilst I can't export and it would otherwise clip.
