Inverter discharging battery under heavy grid load when set to charge / not discharge

I have a Sun Synk 8.8kw hybrid inverter, 3x Sun Synk 5kw Batteries and a 6.4kw solar array.

I have set the inverter to charge the home batteries during cheap off peak period here in the UK 12.30 - 4 am. I also charge my EV, heat hot water tank using immersion and run dishwasher in this cheap off peak period . The maximum grid load is 12 - 13kw

When there is a heavy grid load over 8 - 9kw the inverter doesn't charge home batteries and discharges Batteries at 7 - 8kw to support load it seems. Below this level it functions correctly

When I select "limit to load only" option in system 2 menu under "system mode" the inverter doesn't discharge batteries and charges them as required. But with this option checked it doesn't seem to discharge Batteries to power house outside the cheap off peak period.

Obviously the stated aim is to power the house using only solar and cheap off peak Electric. It has been doing this perfectly since being installed.

I have posted some pics of my inverter settings. This has only become an issue when i started heating hot water in this period using immersion the extra 2.8kw draw triggering this issue. It has performed perfectly otherwise. i have provided some pics of my settings.

Advice appreciated

I am trying to visualise the power flow here, which is hard because I don't know how its ACTUALLY all wired.

But, one guess is that the CT coil is seeing > 8.8kW and somehow decidinig how the power should flow. Is it possible to move where the CT coil is so it doesn't see the EV charger and HW power????
