Charging the batteries in the cold
First time poster so please bear with me.
Ive 2x 5.5 hybrid inverters each connected to 16 panels and 2 batteries and I'm on IOG. I charge the 4 batteries overnight to 90% and then use this energy for the house (for various reasons we use approx 1.5 to 2KWH 24/7) so they are depleted by, at the latest 5PM unless having been topped up by the pv's. I currently charge them to 90% and let them discharge to 19%, is this correct or can I charge them to a higher level? I'm not sure what implications there would be if we changed to 100%!
If there is an issue charging to 100%, can I stop them going to 100% when the solar is running at near 10KW+ ?
Second questions, I have seen a dramatic drop off in the amount of power the batteries are taking, I believe to be the cold weather. Usually I charge at 2KW per pair but recently I only seem to be able to charge at 500w total - is this due to the batteries being cold (the batteries seem to be at 3degrees!)
I'm thinking of building an insulated box around them out of kingspan if the cold is a factor
Warmest regards
Gunn

Lithium batteries should be charged to 100% regularly to balance the cells within the battery, and balance the batteries if you have more than one. They will degrade over time, the same as any other battery. Charging them to less than 100% regularly is worse for them than charging to 100%. To change your charging regime you need to go into "settings" either on the inverter itself, via the web portal or via the mobile app.
