Sunsynk battery limits the charging current/power to 5A/270W?

Hello, I noticed today that I am exporting over 2kW to the grid while my battery is only 37% charged and still charging. When looking a bit closer I noticed that the battery is only charging at 5A and 0.27kW. I checked the BMC display on the inverter and can see that indeed the charging current is limited to 5A at the moment. This was definitely not the case before and I have had the battery happily charging a lot more / quicker. No settings have been changed. The only thing I can think of as a reason is the temperature. My battery and inverter are installed in the loft and at the moment the temperature there and the temperature of the battery itself as reported by it is only 1 degree C.

I wanted to ask if the battery is indeed limiting the charging based on that and if yes, is there someplace I can see/read what are the thresholds for at what temperatures what would the battery limit its charging parameters to?

Thanks!

Hi All,

Just to be clear, the BMS is applying charge limit way too soon!! the below is from battery spec. It would be good to Sunsynk to make the BMS work as per battery spec!

Can you contact your installers and put some presure on to Sunsynk?
