This is Gerrit de Vos from Kathu in South Africa.

I have 3 x 8kw inverters that I want to connect in parallel with a single-phase output.

During daytime the 6 solar panel strings should be sufficient to supply the load during load shedding.

During night time I would like the inverters to start my 40kva generator when the SOC of the batteries becomes low.

While reading thru your training manuals I came across this part:

When connecting inverters in parallel, there are some important points that you must remember: 1) You can only connect the 'GRID' input and 'LOAD' output in parallel. This input can be used for Aux /smart load if required, but it is generally better not to use.

Could you please advise me on what I should do as I really need the generator backup.
