Hi I have completed application Form A1.2 for fast track with Northern Grid, they are saying that my application was not successful.

Thank you for your application to connect Fully Type Tested Generation under the Small Generation

Quote "Installation Procedures at my house,

We have processed your application and unfortunately from the information you have provided the

installation does not meet the criteria set out in the Small Generation Installation Procedures."

From the information you have provided in your application the amount of Connection Offer Expenses

you may be expected to pay for this type of quotation is £660.00 plus VAT. However, this amount may

change following a technical assessment by one of our design team. Your single point of contact will be

in touch to discuss this with you prior to commencing any work on preparing the quotation.

You will be sent an invoice for Connection Offer Expenses soon after you receive your connection offer.

You will be required to pay this invoice within 14 days.

I believe the unit to meet the Small Generation installation procedures, as

Small Generation Installation Procedure 2 For Small Generation Installation Procedures 2, this simplified application form can be used where the eligibility conditions are met.

• All of the generation and/or storage equipment is located in a single installation.

• All existing and new generation and/or storage equipment is type tested to G83, G59, G98, and G99.

• The basic design capacity of each piece of equipment is 32A or less.

• The sum of all the ratings of all the equipment is no more than 32A per phase.

• A G100 export limitation scheme limits the export to the distribution network to be no more than 16A.

The installer will then have up to 3 months to install and commission the generation. Once this has been done Form A3-2 must be sent to the DNO within 28 days of commissioning. For small Generation Installation purposes the rating can be less than the basic design capacity if the manufacturer has limited the output to the lower rating. This is not allowable for connections under G98. G99 FORM A1.2

nearly 800 to attached an ENA Type registered unit seems rather steep, if fact you could just plug it in to a ring main and off you go!!!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Do I just apply again?

what the heck is this cost made up of, is this the norm?
