Inverter Island Mode Configuration

I've just had a power cut, I isolated the house from the grid using the manual isolator switch. I then configured Signal Island Mode, changed the operation mode to Zero Export * Limit to load only, I switched grid charge and grid signal to off. The inverter at no point output any voltage so I ended up using a petrol generator.

What am I missing ?

Does the inverter need to be rebooted after making these changes ?

We don't know which inverter you have but most have LOAD terminals and GRID terminals. Only the LOAD terminals are able to provide power in Island (UPS) mode. A basic install would only use the GRID terminals to input and output power to your house and may be the grid too. These terminals are dead if there is no grid voltage available.

If you are connected to the LOAD terminals, could your load be too much for the inverter which would cause it to shut down.
