Automatic switchover
We have been able to install the Sunsynk 5kW unit. All in order. I do not have solar as yet.
The only issue is that the installer says that the change-over to battery power during a grid outage is a manual operation, i.e. I would need to manually switch over the battery power to the essential circuits. I assumed the changeover would be automatic as we need this feature at our office when we are not there. Please advise.

If it's a hybrid inverter, you can use a contactor to recognise the power outage and make the earth neutral bond. I think all your essential loads need to move to a seperate consumer unit though, in order for the RCD's to work correctly.
