Rapid discharge of battery
On a number of ocassions this month (normally in the early hours) my battery has discharged rapidly (between two adjacent readings - so in 5 minutes) from anywhere between 70 and 40% SOC to 7 or 8% SOC. There is no excessive draw on the system from the load side of the system at this time.

The grid then boosts the battery back up to 13 or 14%. It remains at this level until the PV panels start charging the battery again. The system is set for a 15% minimum SOC. There is no indication that this power has been exported on the app. Can anybody enlighten me as to what is happening and why, and what should be done to rectify this problem? Thank you.

It might be, If you have multiple batteries it could be that they are not balanced. I had this. I then ran a forced charge during the night to 100% and this fixed the issue, though it wasn't as extreme as what you've posted. Aparently from time to time batteries do become out of sync.
