Erratic Behaviours - Charging Battery from Grid while Grid Charge is disabled

There have been noticeable erratic behaviours with my inverter system controls. I have a 3.6 kWh Hybrid Sunsynk invertor, 5.12 kWh Sunsynk CATL battery and solar panels (all new). The system was setup in Jan 2023.

There is a problem with Grid Charge when disabled. I notice that grid charges my battery when not suppose to do so. The "Grid Charge" disabling function only works when "User Timer" is disabled. However, when the user time function is disabled, the battery does not discharge unless during the day when solar power is feeding (That is very minute power, often less than 50W). I have been studying the patterns, tweaking the settings and explored online resources with no luck before reaching out.

Please see some instances below which were observed in Sunsynk Connect mobile app.

1. Battery Settings and System Mode: If both the "Grid Charge" and "User Timer" are disabled. There is no solar power generating and the battery capacity is at (e.g. 50%), the load still relies heavily on the grid instead of using the battery unless I enable "User Timer". However, as soon as the battery reaches its DOD, the grid starts charging the battery instead of just focusing on the load, even though "Grid Charge" is still disabled. I had to disable "User Timer" again before the inverter can work normally. I expected the switching to happen seamlessly and when Grid Charge is disabled, battery should not be charged for any reason.

See the power flow screenshots below which shows that once the battery capacity is exhausted; the grid charging steps in and heavily charge the battery (approximately 2kW). That is not desirable as there is no point in charging the battery with the grid when I don't have day/night rates.

2. System Mode: The energy pattern option selected is "Priority Load". However, during the day, the priority tend towards charging the battery rather than first attend to current load (100% when sufficient solar power is being generated). Please see the flow chart below for instance where Solar (650W), Battery (354W), Load (276W) and Grid (44W). Ideally, the load should be prioritise while excess charge the battery.

Wonder that you are not seeing grid charge happening down at 10%? Can you share your settings e.g. SOC, DOD/Low Batt, Shutdown, Restart, Grid Start etc.?
