Battery timer
Is it necessary to set use timer ? Can’t the pv give power, battery take up slack, and battery discharge over night. I realise the battery will be used and topped up during the day, would this damage or reduce life span ? I dont think the manuals go into this. Thanks guys and gals.

Depending on where you live, many people (especially during the winter in colder/darker climates) have the timer set to charge from the grid overnight, using a discounted "night" rate/tariff, then use the battery during the daylight hours (of course it helps if there is a little bit of sun during the day) as well as early evening when the sun sets earlier....hope that makes sense
