Grid tied inverter tripping
Hi - I have an 8 KW inverter and I would like to know if it is normal that even when I am receiving power from the grid, that my inverter will trip when using more than the 8 KW of power.

You said it is a Grid tie inverter - no batteries has been connected. Did the installer wire it correctly.
