I'm not geeky so need a bit of guidance
Hi all,
I know my way around the Sunsynk inverters and batteries but haven't a clue with clever geeky stuff.
Daughter moving home and I will move her 8.8kW Hybrid and 6 x 5.12 batteries to her new home. Problem is, with the house she gets a 12-13 year old generation tariff with a basic inverter and 16 panels that is paying 64p per unit generated for the next 12-13 years. At the moment, what isn't used is exported. We can't interfere with the existing installation or she'll lose the generation tariff. She also has 2 hot water cylinders currently heated with gas.. The cylinders have the facility for immersions, and I want to use theAux port to heat the water rather than export surplus energy. It has been suggested to use the Aux port to take in the supply from the basic solar inverter, seeing it as a generator, but that will stop me using the Aux as a smart load to heat the water.
Any gadgets out there that will enable us to heat all the water and charge all the batteries when the sun shines?
She's already on Intelligent Octopus for her EV, so topping anything u overnight is not a rproblem.
Are there ways to detect SOC, exporting more then 500W etc
Thanks guys
