Sunsynk 5kW discharge batteries when gird is available
Hi Guys, please help. Either I don't understand the Inverter or it is not working correctly. I have set my SOC to 100%, Grid tick on all and untick "Priority to Load". Every time my total load (non-essentials + essentials) is more than the PV, the Inverter still starts to discharge to battery , +-500W and will draw nothing from the Grid or very little from the grid.

My understanding of the battery cycle is that the battery has (lets say) 1000 cycles before it weakens. One cycle is 100% to zero. If you deplete the battery by 10% each period then you will have to deplete the battery 10 x 10% to obtain one cycle. If the battery depletes to 30% in the first period and 40% in the second period, it would require a further depletion of 30% to equate to one cycle (30+40+30=100) I do not think the life span of the battery (using the above logic - if correct) would be of concern.
