Sudden PV Panel Extreme Output Power Reduction
Hi Everyone,
I have been over the moon with joy around my Sunsynk 8Kw Hybrid inverter installation completed on the 18th of Mar, a week ago. I registered the warrantee at Sunsynk today.
My system has 2 strings of 5 x 555w panels, (10 altogether = 5.5Kw) and has 2 x 5.1Kw Z-Range Model 5120-02 IGEN Lithium Batteries connected. Software Versions: M 6.0.2.2 / S 1.7.2.4 / C E.4.2.6.
All was well from the 18th - 26 Mar 2024 and the system was working fine. Producing anything from 4Kw - 6Kw via the 2 PV strings every day since then excluding today. Open string voltage for each string was originally measured at 229V per string of 5 panels. Well within the Max VOC of the inverter's internal MPPT controllers.
As of the morning of the 27th, I saw the output of my one PV's string dropped to 60W & the other was sitting on 0W with no faults logged in/on the inverter itself. Measuring each string on the inverter MPPT input terminals, I found the voltage to still be at 226V+ for each string. As mentioned, there are no fresh inverter faults logged and it appears to be 'Normal' other than the low wattage output, as displayed on the Sunsynk inverter display! Both PV string wiring was checked & does not look to be suspect. It looks more like the MPPT controllers have decided to stop working! Any ideas or suggestions anyone?

I have no other inverter at this stage. My 'Essential' load includes everything in the house other than my 2x geyser/ water heaters, which is on non-essential side (grid-side)
I believe my CT coil (CTSA016-100A) is correctly installed, looking at the attached pic1, pic2 & pic3 images, the arrow on the furthest (unseen) side point toward the mains switch / Inverter.
As I have an 8Kw Inverter, and according to the installation manual, the CT-coil 1 was thus connected on pin3 (white + ) & pin4 (black - ) of the relevant connector.
Yet, I see 'negative' values on the inverter display under 'load', and according to Sunsynk, that depicts that your CT is incorrectly installed (turned around). Makes no sense! See pic4..

Lastly, an electrician I just called mentioned to 'select' Limit to Load Only & that started showing power flowing from the PV's. I really feel so confused with contradictions from everywhere.
