Investment Return Rate
when energy rates increase and this figure is updated via the Sunsynk app, does it apply this figure against future usage only? If it applies it against all previous usage to date, then the overall return of Investment value will be incorrect.

There's a lot more which needs looked at regarding investment returns. It just multiplies PV generated against your p/kWh rate. i.e. it doesn't factor how much of that energy is actually used. i.e. it doesn't consider what's been imported, what's been exported (and at what price). In short, the figure is arbitrary and would only be accurate if you consumed every single watt of power you ever produced...
