Solar input appears "cropped"

Please can you help my understanding of how the inverter works.

I have a solar array of 5.4kWp and 2 off 5.12 kWh batteries with a 3.6kW hybrid inverter in Lancashire.

My understanding is that the inverter can accept up to 7kWp from the array.

I know I am limited on what I can export to the grid.

The inverter seems to be cropping the input at 3.9kW.

Is there a setting I can change to accept the maximum from the array whilst capping the export or is the input limited by the export maximum?

The 3.6kW inverters can Max input 7kW from the MPPT, but they can cope with Max 3.6kW AC output (GRID / LOAD) AND 3.6kW to battery on the DC side, if you only have an AC connected inverter - no batteries the max you will take from the MPPT is 3.9 (includes losses at inversion & therefore clips excess when batteries are full) but as mentioned above you will have better performance in the winter months as the efficiency of the panels drops
