5.5kW Hybrid Inverter Panel sizing
Hi,
With PV panel technology and sizing increasing all the time and it becoming increasingly difficult to get stock of the older smaller panels with a current output under 13A to stay within the 5.5kW inverter MPPT specs, how critical is it to not exceed that value by using newer panels that can potentially output up to 13.79A?
Other than real low wattage panels, all the latest popular panels have current output specs that exceed 13A.
What is the practical and correct way for panel selection now?
Thanks.
Cheers.

actually, 425V is maximum MPPT operating voltage and you can go safely above it all the way to maximum PV voltage of 500V. As long as your Vmp is below 425V you are not going to see any negative side effects (if it is above 425V your efficiency will suffer).
