Avoid discharging battery during cheap (night) rate period, downloading data (again)

Two questions:

  1. The strategy for my setup is to harvest and store free PV energy and then to release it during the period when my supplier (Octopus, 'Go' tariff) charges a lot per kWh, and to avoid using the stored energy when Octopus charges a cheap tariff (00:30 to 04:30). That way, I'm reducing my bills for imported energy by as much as possible. How can I minimise the energy the inverter supplies from the battery during the cheap tariff period? We have an EV, which has a 78kWh battery and a PV system battery of just 5kWh.

  2. I know many people have already asked but I can see no clear answers. How can I download operational data (particularly the "Energy Generation" graph data) as .csv or similar from the SunSynk server (using the android app, web portal or anything else, I really don't mind)?

Answers to either or both questions would be very welcome!

my system is virtually set up identical to yours. i charge during off peak (0030-00430) and use very little through that time period as we are in bed, so dont worry about it, but have 14.3kw of storage battery and just about to double up on it.

as youre on Octopus Go, i assume you have night storage heaters (or are you just utilising off peak charging? we have night storage heaters, but theyre on a different phase (we have 3 phase supply) so the battery doesnt offload into them.

would you be better off on a different tariff especially as you have an EV, Intelligent Octopus Go might be an option?

i wish octopus would allow those without an EV but have battery storage to access that rate, i am about to install an octopus approved car charger (because i can !!) but even with that i cant access the better teriff. They also need to get their act together re 'approved batteries' and open up to other types of battery. My Sunsynk inverter is supposed to work with the octopus tariffs, so what difference does it make what battery i have?
