Battery SoC going from 83% to 35% rapidly

I was discharging our 2 Sunsynk batteries earlier this evening to top up our EV from the solar generated today. When the batteries hit about 83% they suddenly dropped to about 35% in the space of a minute or two. The graph shows this on the right hand side. The inverter started then drawing from the grid, even though the timer SoC was set to only draw from the grid at 10%.

Obviously we can't discharge around 5kw in 1 minute and the car didn't go up by that amount. Something has obviously gone wrong with what the batteries think is their state of charge and how much they are actually charged. Has anyone else seen this happen to them? Any advice would be gratefully received.

I think I'll have to contact the installers. I think it's beyond my expertise!
