Sunsynk CT Positioning

Hi guys,

I am an electrician and have been using the Kodak units for a few years now for my clients installs.

I have recently decided to install the Sunsynk units rather as I have been impressed with their design and features.

I decided to install an 8kW unit at my own property to trial it and get used to it before rolling it out to my clients.

I followed the install instructions and have the CT coil installed on the main incomer facing the correct direction.

I am set up to zero export.

I have 18x 380w panels on my roof and 1x 5.5kW Hubble lithium battery.

I have a granny flat that also has a small inverter in it for their convenience, but I run this off of main supply.

In my installation for the main house, I have the oven and geyser off of the inverter and the rest of my house running through the inverter.

I will be adding the oven/geyser into the auxilliary/generator circuit soon, as I only just found out that this can be used to supply power for heating if there is excess power available. I very rarely use anywhere close to my solar availability during the day, so this would be cost saving on the geyser.

My question is this: with the CT coil installed on the main incomer, I am measuring any usage for the entire installation, including oven, geyser, and the flat.

When I have a shower for example, I head upstairs afterwards and the inverter fan is running. I check the usage and find that the inverter is measuring the geyser heating up, although it is not even running through the inverter. The same for when I turn the oven on.

Obviously this is not right, as it is now trying to decide on a means of powering this ghost load - battery or mains or PV.

Could someone explain how I need to set the settings in order to have my critical circuitry only being managed through the inverter instead of what the CT coil is measuring?

Also, I would at some point like to add the geyser/oven to the generator/aux circuitry and set this up as well. Any help on those settings would be great!

Thanks for your help :)

Thank you for your support CT coil is like a gateway to control export You can use the Gen port as an Aux load
