Adding UPS circuit UK ring main
I am looking at adding an (or having one added) essential load circuit to the UPS supply in case of grid failure, to a UK ring main. Would it need one auto change over relay or two, one for each 'leg' of the ring main? I would look to use Finder
62.82.8.230.0000 relays and also of course an earth/neutral bond.
Or can anyone suggest a better method?
I will use a competent electrician BUT I like to know about how everything functions etc rather than not knowing/understanding....

Keep it simple with a change over switch. Like jacekowski is saying - eveything needs wiring and protecting like normal - there is no special circuit just because it is fed from the inverter. It also needs a N-E relay.
Best set-up is a SEPERATE consumer unit that has your UPS capable loads that is 'on grid' when you have GRID feed via a [manual] change over switch that is also fed from the Inverter UPS supply.
You can get ATS relay change-over swicthes now but whether you want this automaic is another debate....
