Dear sir/ madam
I have a few questions with regard to inverter set up.
A.
I have a PV array capable or 4350W
(split into two strings using both MPPT channels )
But for some reason the mppt seems to be throttling maximum Watts at around 3600.
Why /what settings would cause this?
I have tested this by loading house at 4800W
But still only getting approx 3600W.(
11h30 no clouds mid summer south Africa)
( additionally when first installed I recorded 4500W being produced)
B.
Please can you send more detailed explanation with regard to battery charging /discharging settings.
I have un-selected grid charge as I only want solar excess to replenish battery when excess solar is available.
(Battery spec : solar MD4074)
I have specified an absolute minimum DOD at 40% but the inverter/ BMS are allowing State of charge to dip well below this percentage?
is the solarMD BMS and Inverter correctly communicating ?
Please confirm what /how one best sets up the system as it seems that if you don't use the timer the battery won't discharge to cover house load ?
Will the inverter always simply hold battery at 100% unless you give a discharge window?
Please give more detail with regard to each field on the battery pages.
For instance grid signal- what is this for?
Etc etc
