Why 5KW Sunsynk inverter not using lithium battery

Hi could someone please advise. When mains power is switched off, the inverter switches off completely. The battery a (5.1KW BSL) display on the inverter screen 100% but the inverter does not use the battery. The system just switches off completely when mains is lost. I did test the system with another battery a pylontech and it seems to do the same the inverter also just switches off when mains are switched off. Is the inverter faulty? Could it perhaps need a software upgrade, or should I send the inverter for repairs? During the day the solar MPPT comes on but only supply the load and not charging the battery. The battery also doesn't discharge. The battery just stays on 100%. Any advice welcome.

Thanks, Groots for your reply, I managed to find the problem it was a bad connection on the inverter's negative battery terminal. I found there were two different battery voltages showing on inverter screen, the one on the BMS voltage was correct 54.6V but the Voltage on inverter graph/diagram console side was only 40V. This puzzled me at first but when I started testing with a multimeter and soon measured the 40V on inverter terminals although on the battery isolator measurement was correct at 54.6V. It's been running since 2021 with no problems, so my lesson learnt, check those DC cables terminations they draw high currents.

Thanks again to all who replied.
