Maximum voltage for a 5.5kw inverter
Ive been properly going around the houses with this for some time now. I thought I had it cracked but I just dont know. I have 2 inverters with 10 and 4 panels on one and 7 and 7 panels on another. When the sun shines I get constant grid disconnect messages:
From this link:
It suggests the max voltage is 500V. I assume this is summed across the strings but im not sure (this is my question!). So if I have a string that pulls 300V and another that does 220V (300 +220 = 520) im in trouble.
This forum seems to suggest the same: https://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/showthread.php/361289-Sunsynk-5kw-inverter-and-370w-JA-Panels/page2
When I get the disconnects on the inverters I can see the combined volatge going over 500V, eg:
However, when Ive asked about this im told I only get the grid disconnect issues when the grid is too unstable. From the app the grid seems to fluctuate between 237 and 251V which Id have thought would be within tolerance:
I only get grid disconnects when its sunny.
Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what to say :-(
