Generating solar and using grid both?
I've a new system, 20 panels and an 8kw inverter and 5Kw battery. Seems to work fine.
I've noticed that in the morning, solar will be generating enough power for my needs, but will also be importing grid power, seemingly to charge the battery. Seems to operate that way for about an hour, then switch to solar only.
Seems a little odd, but my installer says this is normal, but can't explain why. I've attached a pic.
Is this supposed to happen? I suspect something is slightly amiss...

system mode/energy pattern is already set to priority load rather than priority batt.
could be timer related, the grid turns off it seems once battery is over 25% charged...
