5kw Sunsynk/Deye and 9x540 panels in a string
Hi, This question is about the Deye SG03 5KW model and not the Sunsynk. I hope no one would be offended because they are sister companies :-) I ordered a Deye 5KW to replace my Growatt SPF5000ES which is already wired and operating with 9 panels of JA solar 540W panels in a string. I just found a picture online which shows that there is a limit of 3250W PV per string which is only mentioned on a sticker placed on the side of the inverter. But I have been seeing contradicting information about this and I even saw screenshots on this forum about PV1 of 5KW model producing like 4200W. My panels are rated at 39V Vmp , 11A at NOCT. JA Solar 540w. I'm in Sri lanka so the temp is 26-30c around the year so the voltage and amps are within the range I really don't want to rewire the array to break it to 2 strings and even If I do that I will end up with 5+4 panel config which will cause issues because 4 panels seem not to be enough for Deye MPPT starting voltage of 150v. Do you guys think 9 panels in a single string would work fine for me? Thanks Ruchira

I asked deye online support and a deye certified distributor/installer regarding the 12KW 3phase model.
First deye support said that i need to keep power per string below 5200W.
then the distributor/installer said it ok as long as voltage and current are within spec.
then another deye support email confirmed that i can have more than 5200W per string (7500W in my case) as long as the VOC and current are within range.
