5.32 kWh Battery Performance

Battery manual suggests that charge rate is affected by colder temperatures below 5C. I am experience significant reduction in performance (20A rate down from 50A) when temperature is below 10C (see image below)! This is therefore affecting ability to charge battery during cold but sunny periods and hence not fulfilling its intended performance and purpose. This is not as 'promised' and hence as expected so wondered if there was a problem with my installation that can be resolved under warranty etc. Please advise. Thanks in advance. Hi Nicholas

This is standard for ALL LifePO4 batteries. They can't be charged below 0degC and ramp down their charge rate below 10degC [by how much depends on manafacturer and BMC settings].

THere is nothing wrong with the battery. You need to keep it warm! Ideal operating temperature is around 20deg C.

Where is it stored? As an aside, you probably don't want to charge at 50A anyway. Lower charge [and discharge where possible] power is better for battery life. AIM for 0.3C if you can 0.5C MAX.
