Battery change rate low during some charge windows

Hello

ree

Thanks for any help in advance.

Basically I struggling to understand why the charge rate is low at certain times of the day. My setup is I try and change my batteries 3 times a day. These are 04:00 to 07:00, 13:00 to 16:00 and finally 22:00 to 00:00. The battery charge limit is set to 90A.

The only time the charge rate is near the limit is during the 22:00 to 00:00 window. The other two windows the charge rate is reasonable, well below the limit, but not enough to charge the batteries to level requested (i.e. 100%). The result is the batteries generally only reach around 85%. The thing that really confuses me is why the charge rate drops during these charge window. If the starting charge rate was maintained for the 3 hour window I'd probably get near the 100% requested.

I've added a graph to help show what I'm trying to describe. It covers 2 days. The graphs shows the power, SOC and battery temperature.

I'm UK based and it cold at the moment so I thought this could be a factor. Hence I included the battery temperatures. The difference between the 3 windows isn't very big.

System setup:

  • 5.0 kW Inverter

  • 3 x 5.32 kW Batteries
