Sunsynk 2023: A Year of Solar & Energy Storage Growth

2023 was a year of growth for Sunsynk, from new solar and battery storage products to international expansion, industry events and further investment in customer support. As the year comes to a close, we're looking back at some of the developments that shaped the past 12 months and the projects, products and people that helped Sunsynk continue to grow across the global renewable energy market.

One of the year's biggest product developments was the Sunsynk Innagator, our containerised Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The Innagator made its debut at Solar & Storage Live in Birmingham, where visitors had the opportunity to take a closer look at the technology and learn more about Sunsynk's growing commercial and industrial energy storage offering.

The team from eFIXX also joined us at the show to explore the system in more detail.

Battery storage wasn't only a focus on the exhibition floor. Sunsynk CEO Keith Gough took to the stage as a keynote speaker at Hungarian Battery Day, joining representatives from across the industry to discuss energy storage and the role it can play in the transition towards a lower-carbon energy system. The event brought together policymakers, businesses and energy specialists as Hungary continued its work towards its long-term climate and energy goals.

2023 also gave us the opportunity to see Sunsynk technology used in a very different setting. Working with Victory Leisure Homes, Sunsynk technology was incorporated into its Evolution holiday home, with a 3.6kW hybrid inverter and L5.1 battery helping provide solar energy generation and battery storage as part of the property's energy system.

The project demonstrated how solar and energy storage can be incorporated into applications beyond the traditional home, giving holiday accommodation another way to generate, store and manage electricity.

As the number of Sunsynk systems around the world continued to grow, so did the need for accessible technical support. This year we introduced dedicated 24/7 in-app chat support for Sunsynk Connect, giving users another way to access help with Connect queries whenever they need it. The development formed part of our wider investment in customer and installer support as Sunsynk continued to expand into new markets.

Another important product launch came with the introduction of Sunsynk Lifelynk, bringing the hybrid inverter and battery together within one compact all-in-one energy storage system. Designed for residential applications, Lifelynk provided another option for households looking to generate, store and manage their energy within a single system.

Its launch added to a year in which Sunsynk's product portfolio continued to develop across both residential and larger-scale energy storage applications.

From new battery storage technology and residential product launches to international expansion and additional customer support, 2023 brought plenty of change across Sunsynk. These developments also laid the groundwork for what comes next as we continue to develop new energy technologies, support more installers and customers, and expand Sunsynk into markets around the world.
